New York City Stray Finds New Life at Animal League America

Barry Allen, a 4-year-old orange tabby, was a stray in desperate need of human intervention. Found with lacerations and scarring on his head and face, as well as symptoms of dehydration, Barry was also suffering from a severely damaged front right paw that would likely have to be surgically removed to avoid further complications.

The Adoptions Continue as 18th Annual Tour For Life® Comes to a Close

As the world’s largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization, it’s only fitting that North Shore Animal League America spearheads Tour For Life®, the world’s largest cooperative lifesaving adoption event sponsored by Purina®. For 10 weeks, our state-of-the-art Mobile Adoption Units traveled through 50 cities in 37 states, promoting the plight of homeless companion animals and collaborating with our shelter partners to facilitate more than 2,000 adoptions!
