Get to Know Piper

Double Adoption with Pearl, #SPC315. Pearl and Piper’s owner made sure they’d be provided for long after they were no longer able to care for them by entering them in our Safe Haven Program. We’ve given this fabulous mother/daughter duo all the loving care they once had in their peaceful home, with an eye to their future: finding them another tranquil place to land for their retirement. Pearl can be sensitive to activity, so an adult home with no other pets but her beloved Piper will satisfy her need for serenity. Thanks to our devoted donors, each has had radiation therapy to treat their hyperthyroidism—no more meds! The ladies are sharing a diet to treat Pearl’s early chronic renal disease which can be purchased at cost through our Pet Health Centers. We want to take all obstacles away from this demure pair in hopes their heroes will discover the ease of falling in love with a very worthy pair of gentle seniors.

  • Can be both active and calm

  • Good with kids 12+

  • Needs quiet

  • Needs to be the only pet

  • Fearful pet experience
