I bought an American Pocket Bully in June 2020 and I still HAVENT gotten my papers to register her. What do I need to do because I paid more then $2,000 for her.

Rights to registration papers depend on the pet sale agreement and the law in the particular state. For example, I don’t see a law in Arkansas comparable to the NY law described below, but consult with an attorney in your state. New York’s pet sale law provides that if a pet dealer represents that an animal is registered or capable of registration with an animal pedigree registry organization, the pet dealer must provide the purchaser with the documents necessary for registration within 120 days after the sale of the animal. If a pet dealer fails to provide the documents, the purchaser, upon written notice to the pet dealer, may keep the animal and receive a refund of 75 percent of the purchase price (but then not the documents). Even without a specific law, a purchaser may sue the seller for breach of contract and seek the papers or money based on the diminished monetary value of the dog. The state Attorney General’s office may be contacted too. Next time, consider adopting and not shopping for an animal!
